ADERINTO, B. SOLA, FCA – Chairman, Perceival Shipping and Tanks Ltd and Perceival Investments In General

Aderinto Bashir Sola is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He graduated with a B.Sc. degree (Geology) from University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University – OAU) in June 1980. He started his working life with Rocks & Stones Nigeria Limited (Foundation Engineering and Geoscience Consultants) in 1981-1984 where he was the Site Geologist.
In 1985, he joined Adebayo Bankole & Co (Chartered Accountants) as Graduate Trainee and became qualified as a Chartered Accountant with ICAN in November 1988. He rose to the position of Audit Manager in the firm before leaving the Company in 1991.
Aderinto worked as Head of Variation Control in the Finance Department of The Federal Ministry of Works & Housing in Lagos from 1991-1993, joined Countrywide Savings & Loans Limited as Chief Accountant from 1993-1995 and moved from there to Pan Ocean Oil Corporation (Nig.) as Senior Internal Auditor in January 1996. He later held other positions such as Accounts Coordinator (1998-1999), Deputy Chief Accountant (2000-2001), Chief Accountant (2002-2003), Chief Internal Auditor (2003-2004) and Finance Manager (2005-2007), of the company.
As Chief Accountant and Finance Manager at Pan Ocean Oil Corporation, he was a signatory to the NNPC/Pan Ocean Joint Venture Accounts in Citi Bank Nigeria & New York, USA and was solely responsible for all financial functions of the company.
He joined Globacom Limited thereafter and served as Head of Expenditure Control in the Finance department from 2007- 2010.
Aderinto holds membership of some professional bodies such as the London Management Training Centre (LMC), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), as well as the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE). He is a Fellow of the
Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria (IMC)
and a member of Ikoyi Club 1938.
